How We Work

The Partnership is managed by a Partnership Board, which sets our direction and agrees our annual plans.  At present, the Partnership Board is made up of ...

- 12 local Resident Directors

- 3 Township Councillors

- 8 representatives from agencies working in the town

Resident Directors are voted onto the Partnership Board through a postal election involving all adults in the NDC area who are registered to vote.  All committees of the Partnership Board also include local residents.

The partnership currently employs 25 people to help manage the day to day running of the initiative. Chief Executive Vicki Devonport joined us in December 2004. We are looking forward to another year of successful development and taking the next steps forward towards transforming Heywood to achieve our vision.

This will involve improving local services and facilities and creating jobs. This vision applies to everyone in the NDC area no matter who they are or what their circumstances.  We believe that all NDC residents have the right to equal access to these improvements, facilities and jobs.

“Our vision is to create a New Heart for Heywood through a series of lasting changes, which will improve the quality of life in the home and on the street for Heywood”
