The New Heart for Heywood Programme is now over half way through its 10-year life and our Board decided to undertake a Strategy Review in order to shape the work for the coming years.  Our strategy document presents a summary of New Heart for Heywood’s Strategy: the Legacy Programmes and it contains the following main elements:

- The strategic context - showing how the NDC strategy relates to other key strategies in the Borough.

- The new strategic framework - the overall strategic objectives for Heywood NDC.

- The Legacy Programmes - in order to achieve our vision and objectives.

- Some Key Principles.

- An opportunity for involvement via the Theme Groups.

We hope you will agree that the proposed legacy programmes outlined in the Strategy document will deliver the most important things that you want to change and will ensure resources are directed and focussed.

We are still working hard to ensure that the major agencies such as the Council, the NHS, the Police, education and training providers and Job Ccentre Plus are playing their part in transforming the area, and helping them to become even more community focused when delivering and designing new services.  We still have work to do in this area to ensure that the changes we are making are sustainable for the future. The years ahead fill us with excitement and anticipation and we are looking forward to great things to come.
